Undo the laces at one end? Ah, it's great to see good solid wooden tent pegs - takes me back to my days with the Cubs!

Personally, I can't see anything wrong with the method in your first photo  , shame I will be in the wrong camp in June to witness it first hand.

Good to see the cat making an appearance again...

Just unhook the rope down the middle of the doors and pull the flap aside.

If you make sure you have proper tension across the ridge by adjusting the guy ropes, which judging by the sag you don't ;), it'll all hold up fine.

That's what we thought but inside the flaps there's a flynet/guaze type thing stitched across the whole opening for some reason.

Will attempt to address the saggage issue in our next dry run.

you'll be grateful of that mozzi netting over the opening in June in the welsh woodland ;) I am intentionally hunting something with flysheet or similar inc, nowt worse than waking up the next day to find you've been massacred by some blood thirsty insect  not to mention comfort for the rest of the day.

Not war issue but these are ex army, and at a fraction of the cost of the other tents for the same kit, thought I'd post them up incase anyone else is on a tight budget, wants something more authentic and at less than

Check out CW's link - http://www.thebunkerwarehouse.co.uk/
I'm awaiting a delivery of canvas and leather 50litre Swedish rucksack. To my eyes it looks pretty similar to the real German ones I see on ebay - only at less than
