Ello peeps

The first of my "A2C" events will be taking place on the weekend of 26th- 27th April at the IED Shropshire site, 2 weeks before OSTfront .

At the mo I'm hoping to get between 1- 200 players for a "modern" event , think TA without the bollox and crap

The sides will be Coalition (DPM / Flecktarn) and Rebel ( US/ Deserts Everything else) and possible a small civvy /black PSD side .

Cost of the event will be £65 , but obvs free to you guys .

The Q is, would you guys like to come , would you like to help with command & control , marshalling, whatever ? If so whats takes your fancy .

It'll be milisim , so rules will be similar to ours except radios will be in play . I've also got commitment for a large number of vehicles so tabbing everywhere is not an issue .

Lemme Know !

PS any objections if I advertise here ?, don't want any space, just bung some stuff up in "Other Events"

I'd love to, but I'm planning to run a half marathon on the Sunday. I'll let you know if things change.

Obviously 'Other events' is fine

As for 'helping' out - should be OK but I'll have to speak to my diary secretary first...

Anyway, what is 'Advance to Contact'? A new online matching/dating agency?

I'm sorry they didn't teach you what it means at David Baileys School for Gentlefolk
:ghey:
Def -(NATO) An offensive operation designed to gain or reestablish contact with the enemy.

It means patrol agressively until you find the enemy and then engage them , typically using an arrowhead formation across open ground or typically staggered file in closed woodland.
You can ask more at one of the many training days you appear to be attending ,

But yes, I've sold my arse to Beaker and co .

Really?

The Articles of Association for 'Advance to Contact Limited' say:

The company deals primarily with computerised profile matching of homosexual males providing a discrete web-based matching service thereby avoiding the embarrassment of park bench and public toilet meeting places. Profiling will provide full database searching for sexual preferences along with filtering schemes to provide the perfect contact, in return of fee provision. Clients may therefore advance to their chosen contact with confidence of a perfect date.

Heh, Gadage and Yith were the whores, I was just having a laugh! And it wasn't that bad as the car was full of James' kit so we just travelled due west of Peterborough and were back on target for Coventry digs. He couldn't wait to get back to Uni - and having seen the photos of the girls he hangs round with I can see why!

Something has just occurred to me:

19/20th April - South Wales, Gunmans D-Day +2 bash
26/27th April - Shrops, A2C
10/11th May - Shrops, Ostfront CiA

Anyone else think that 3 weekenders within 4 weeks is going to be pushing it somewhat? - especially those of you who are married (except David's wife - she'll probably be glad of the peace and quiet!)

I saw this a while ago . Personally my plans will revolve around if I am still working or not . Not working, probably do em all , working probably not.
If you add in IED's classic E&E event the weekend before DDay then I'm faced with even more dilemmas.
I suspect I'll give DDay a miss ( been there, seen that ,not sure this one will be much different) and look to support Caretan instead .
As for you guys , you're faced with two events , two weekends apart at the same place, which may not appeal . I've got bored explaining why I have chosen the date for A2C's first game so don't plan on changing it .
I'm also aware that the nature of the A2C event is probably not what you're looking to get out of airsoft anymore , so TBH if you want to pass on it I'll not take great offence. I'd love it if you'd all come , as I value your input and enjoy gaming with you , but for all the reasons outlined above can understand why you might choose not to .
So a "get out fo jail free" card if you want it .

Looking at the way the number of games are going at the moment, it mightn't be a bad idea.

Which weekend is Sennybridge on?

Since you are competing for largely the same player base and Sennybridge is likely to be a big 'pull' then I would have thought moving the A2C game quite some distance away, time-wise, would be a better plan...

Ah, he's booked the same weekend as A2C?

Agree with Chommers really, our games attract a different crowd.

Two milsim games on the same weekend and quite close to one-another geographically will be difficult to populate with players.

Aye, dont want to split the numbers of 'ardcore cordura-and-molle-M4-toting-retards any further than you have to - and you really dont want the first event to go up against an established name.
