It's a bit of a haul to the site from down south, so I think some of us were considering going up Friday and staying at a Travelodge. Nearest one is Oswestry, where a few of us stayed prior to Churchill's Revenge. Anyone else interested, or any other suggestions ?

gimme a fucking break here ...I've been mates with Ed at IED for 4years plus .

IEd are not bigs fans of camping the day before , neither are the FC. They definately do not want a big piss up in the forest, and since we are being left to our own devices Saturday night I want us to be seen to be responsible even if we turn a blind eye to the odd drink . We deffo can be seen to be advocating one .
I'd downplay the barbeque as well please.

With all things if it's done on the QT it's a lot better than if we say it out loud .

We can get their sites with one phone call, we can make as much miloitary noise as we like , this is worth keeping on good terms with them for IMHO .

EDIT - sorry if this came on strong, I've had similar 'chats' with IED on the same subject before, Pete - I should have told you this before , forgot you wouldn't know what they are like

The only people allowed on site the night before are the five of us . If others arrive then thats fine but offically not allowed by the FC. IED are also totally paranoid about large fires and litter as the place is used by the locals and inspected a lot .
