Hmmm, Josh has plopped a Russian game the week after ours - NOT HAPPY.

If we are trying to push Russian this year this leaves scope for Josh to put on American focussed events and please cock company.

What a tool. He's trying to cash in on a player base that WE have created by having the balls to put on Russian games.

Also, he's got it a bit wrong with this "We have chosen the Eastern front to add a new dynamic to 2ww Airsoft". Er, didn't CiA create this "new dynamic", ages ago?

I've posted as much in the events discussion section.

What a load of shit. He hasn't discussed it before now, so I don't think we should publish a forum for it, that's the same policy we took for Taffy's game.

I think, if given a choice, our regulars, who are the people with Russian kit, will choose a CiA event over a gunman sisk. So, I'm not too worried about the game itself but, I am pissed about josh's complete lack of respect and common sense.

Bramley Camp has a draw and I don't see how it would be possible for Josh to put on a 'low numbers' game there. Tuddenham, OK but not an external site. And the site is easier to get to than Ceri!

Well, if our players "jump ship" for a fancy site, then f**k them. I'd have thought that our Stalingrad game would have been a bigger draw in that respect?

Yeah, but its Ceri vs Bramley - ALL players will make a choice between the two and while we may keep our regulars those that are new (and that is most of our Horn players so far!) will take the easy option, most probably.

The saving grace is that we can have a game of 15 a side, no problem, but even so there is a principle at stake here!

Absolutely. If josh is going to tread on our toes, perhaps words need to be had? He's happy to use this forum to promote his own shit but, there's he brings nothing to the table for us (unless you count arguments with cock company, date clashes and idiots!).

This is the exact same discussion we had about 2-3 years ago, after Dave encouraged the coalition from hell....

What is it with Davids and coalitions that don't work. ;)

:giggle: (Flawed argument there though, there isn't one thing with the coalition that isn't a cracking idea and should have been done many years ago - I can't stand party politics and the concept of working together for the common good has always appealed to me. Same with the Gunman coalition really, it is/was a good idea but isn't an easy option nor plain sailing and creates problems of its own, none of which are unsolvable!)

Nothing wrong with coalitions. The trick is not to end up as the inferior partner! However, I think that there is NO mileage in any current/future CiA/gunman "coalition". We are diametrically opposed in our methods and aims. This latest faux pas by josh just reinforces what he is really like.

Aye, the coalition had a time and a purpose, now we are in an age of mutual cooperation (or so I thought). Meh, take a look at the February game booking list.

You're going to regret that statement. I can guarantee it.

My guarantee is contrary-wise.
I'm a liberal, conservative socialist - no they aren't conflicting, its the Party system that has done that. We are so entrenched in Party division that non-free thinkers struggle with a coalition concept - just look at the press who have no idea how to cope with it! These are tough times thanks to the previous governments over-spending who were happy to spend the cost of a large government department every year in interest. Wankers!

Please don't mistake me for a Labour lover, but seriously, how anyone could defend the plans to marketise the NHS is beyond me.

By carrying on the good work of Labour, who made it all possible - they could see the light.

Anyhoo, back on topic - posted up a polite reply to Josh. Let's see if other 'organisers' have the guts to chip in.

I'm not holding my breath. The date doesn't clash with any of their games!

Well, at least he's admitted that he's been a bit of a dick, his event is just before W&P too.

I tell you what, Yith is reminding me why I hate him at the moment. He bangs on and on about stitch perfect kit all the time, yet is a total fag when it comes to actually playing the game. I'd expected more from someone who is so obsessive about authenticity. Wladek hasn't done himself any favours in my eyes either!

It's all a bit infuriating and, makes me even more determined to make our events this year wipe the floor with the shit that all of the other organisers put out. If it all goes tits up, at last we can say we went out with a bang.

Well Yith has never had a real interest in the history, just the kit - which pretty much puts him the category of a regular airsoft kit whore anyway.

I think we will be OK for Horn - there are an SS and FJ about to be filled this week and no doubt Christmas hit hard this year so pennies will be coming in late.

15 a side is OK for July.

Stalingrad (Jay has made contact with Tim) needs to be the 'show stopper' this year. That will be ending on a bang!
