Heh, what's this on his web site then? Coming soon: Thompson snapped barrel fix

Oh, interesting word occurrence on the forum search logs - fifty or so searches for the word 'stubblehopper' from a non registered forum user. It must be him looking for stuff he has posted (or has been written about him).

Fifty searches!?!? I don't think anything's been written about him.

Re: The barrel fix. Yes, I've also let Fatbear know that I've been producing one of these for the last five years or so!! He's adding a link to here.

Hah!! Just had a little chat with Matt about his Africa game and what his policy in Dog Co is, given that most of the Germans wouldn't book if they did.

He said that they're not invited and that he'd actively refuse them based on the fact they called the Doughboys 'elitist pricks' on their forum!

They're not making many friends are they?! :lolpanda:

 What a bunch of arseholes. I'd rather be an "elitist prick" than a "pie eating, obnoxious, stupid fat bastard". Fair play to Webby I say. :good:

Well, he's reappeared on the PST forum - http://panzergrenadier.net/forum/viewtopic.php?f=9&t=12617

His first fucking post in ages and it's a bloody photo opportunity!! What a tool.

Christ, if he was in the army, it must have been in the PR dept or something.

Old photos too. They're from the US training day he was supposed to run, but ended up buggering off for photos leaving me, Guy and Chommers to pick up the pieces.

Oh yes, we do need some standard games with the usual impressions that people have. More generic ones like NWE german and British airborne.

Hopefully as well as the more specialist stuff we've seen pushed for 2010 there will be more standard stuff as well. PBI's Op Freshman is a good example where it's possible to play as either side without having one of the more esoteric uniforms. I'm sure there will be more!

This IS and always has been what Gunman does. Plenty of stuff going on all the time :good: :good:

Have I missed a change of heart guys? if so thats fantastic, maybe we could run an event together again??? Ive not seen most of the CIA/PBI crowd for weekend war since D-Day :slap:

I personally have never seen any difference between reenactors and airsofters, they all have one main thing in common which is enjoying their weekend off in uniform and playing soldiers. Me being one of them!!

From here: viewtopic.php?f=1&t=9241

I think he has completely missed the point hasn't he??

We're talking about how our games (CiA and to an extent PBI) are close to reenactment and are specialist with regards to required kit, whilst he's talking about SISKs.

The reason our lot don't go to his games is because of their generic nature and ill-thought-out scenarios. Oh.....and Dog Company.

What Yith means is that CiA/PBI need to do more NWE scenarios to be more inclusive, but without sacrificing the quality of the scenario and gameplay.....and sportsmanship.

Yup - that's what happens if you only read the last couple of posts in a thread!

Partly my fault - I should have stuck to one point. As it was, my post could be summarised as:
1. Where have all the private battles gone? They are alive and well here in the airsoft world.
2. Plenty of choice - diverse scenarios and game styles. You can choose between hard graft or blatfest (and shades in between) - much as with trad reenactment private battles.
3. BTW airsofters, stop frittering your money on 'better' breadbags or badges if it means you won't have enough cash to play.
4. BTW noobs, ignore all the anal collecting stuff on the forum - it hasn't got much to do with WW2 airsoft battles

Quite.

In fact, if no-one picks up on those points I think it's worth starting a new thread on it, which I will do.

ie: Are you a collector or a skirmisher?

I think Josh and Yith have both completely missed the point! By the way, two great threads you've started! Hopefully, they just may clarify things a little (or descend into bickering!).

Edit - I also note that Gadge has managed to try to push the Freshman game in almost every post he's made as well! :ghey:

Received my wool trousers today from Spearhead. Must say they are excellent quality. Although the they are the correct waist size. they are quiet baggy in the knees. But i will test them out with the gaiters tomorrow, during Gunman's Vengence game.

No comment.......

Ditto. Also, when I read his post about losing £700! Couldn't have happened to a nicer person. :giggle:

I would think that unless you have a massive waist originals could be bought from the States for similar if not less money than the repros.

Hehe, no chance of originals then.

For fucks sake, he hasnt given that any thought at all has he?

It's the USA - home of truly MASSIVE waistlines. Fat bastard sized original kit would be highly sought after!
