Gone. A couple of years ago I tried a mod that was a 'soft delete'. In effect it moved the post to another folder so that deletions could be reviewed. Useful for accidental deletions as well as deliberate of course. However, it was a work-in-progress mod and didn't work very well (there were issues of deleted posts still being visible in 'view new posts' etc.) but if I find two or three hours spare I might have a go at a new version.
Hänschen Klein is bollocking on about CiA not allowing under 18s again, so I've called him out on it...in a polite and constructive way.

Well, one thing he isn't - a WW2 airsofter. He hasn't been to a game for over a year but plenty of reenactment events.

He is running it with the help of 'some friends' who seem to be six US reenactors up his way who he seems to be bending over backwards to appease. Jamie is charging him £1600 for the site including a £200 deposit.

This isn't a CiA game and it really shouldn't be mistaken for one by the casual punters.

I've tried to be helpful to him having insisted he run it in August, there isn't any reason to get shirty with him. Just let him crack on - it hasn't got legs but I don't want to give any hint of CiA being involved in it's downfall, quite the opposite.

Thing is, we keep on saying how CiA isn't the banner for all the UK's WW2 events, but his use of "usual CiA" statements rather compounds the issue that people think it is.

I've no idea what he's on about with that. I've been back to Drakelow several times since our event and have met with Jamie and Sid (bloke who owns it) and haven't had anyone raise concerns about our conduct. Jamie even mentioned at the end of our event that he was blown away with the gameplay and wanted to nick a few ideas. I even checked everything was ok when I wrote out the cheque!
