The reason for the q is that a bachelor mate of mine ( ex married ) reckoned early thirties was the worst time for trying ot find a partner. A lot of women he met were married with kids , or divorcees. the truly singles were often single for a reason . Reckoned it improved in mid thirties as more came out fo the first marriages, and had more realistic expectations and desires out of a second relationship .
No idea if any of the above is true, however it seems ot be an observed phenomenum amongst other single blokes I know in their early thirties , although this is based on my mates views 10 years ago .

Now if you're on a minority sub culture like the goth industrial scene then its even fucking worse....
most people pair up at uni, all my mates are either in long term relationships or getting married (he ones my age at least)
On a small scene i've dated everybody ii find attractive, i could date somebody outside of the goth scene but i dont think they'd appreciate me being out djing at clubs and gigs al the time or my particular dress sense / body art etc...
So i've had to start looking out of town these days and even bloody internet dating....
But the worst bit is that everybody new coming to my club who i dont know but might like is generally a 18 year old to 20 year old student and far too young for me.
I have a theory that women change drastically between 19 aand 21 in fact become completely different people, its happened to me three times. start dating a 19 year old goth.. end up seeing a 22 year old hippy/techno kid/ 50s obsessive etc etc...
