Not worth it mate. Walts always trip themselves up anyway. He came close on the reenactment forum recently and I'm sure it will happen in due course without my help. If I were to cause a public fallout, we'd get people taking sides and things would get nasty (in a "keyboard warrior" kind of way :ghey: ). Don't get me wrong, I'd happily batter the idiot! But, to preserve the peace, I won't say anything.

Nah, my post was purely speculatory.

Just noticed that his post is now on it's 3rd edit! To be fair, he has removed the snidey bit about a "pseudo soviet" response.

What I'm wondering now is, why are Webby and Yith organising a game under the doughboys banner (or "sandbox", where ever that came from?), rather than the PBI one? Has the predicted PBI split started to happen? The blurb says an "all day game", does this mean a departure from "combat missions"? I'll be watching with interest!

Sandbox came from a brainstorming with Webby, Lardy and me - I needed to create a new group for permissions for that section.
Yith is helping on this game in his capacity as Doughboys organiser so nothing to do with a split although Gadge has been very quiet. Which is nice. The PBI forum has cobwebs growing on it!

I haven't talked to Matt about game style but I expect he will do it like The Pocket with a series of objectives and staging posts as we did at Husky but we shall see.

As for Gadge constantly revision a post long after people concerned have read it - well that isn't what the edit facility is for. Posters should check they are happy with content before pressing submit!

BTW, good idea naming the players who expressed an interest in a Russian place!

Thanks. I thought it might help to remind them all to put up or shut up. :good:

Evo can't make it. I've also PMd CHThree to find out if he's going to book.

Evo can't make it.

That means Gadge can't (or won't) as well then. Evo is his current chauffeur.

Lardy has drawn up a PBI style game plan for the June game but at least seems to understand the 'tree' principal - unlike Martin at Alsos. At least short games are more manageable for the inexperienced, much less to go wrong and if it goes tits-up then its only for an hour, not a whole day!

Quel surprise. Lets hope it looks to all as a Gadge snub! TBH, Gadge would have been a liability at the game, shame about Evo though. You never know, he may change his mind/be able to come as we get closer to game day.

Gareth 'I've got no money' Harvey is going to the Angels sale in London.

Feck me, I work my ass off day in day out and can't afford to buy a fucking thing.

He just uses the "no money" thing as an excuse, because he hasn't got the balls to give his real reasons for not attending games.

Can't see any of them coming away with much from the sale, the good stuff will be (or already has been) snapped up.

I was thinking the same thing Stephen - the two people who moan about not having any money are the two people constantly buying stuff, Nige & Gadge!

The richest people I have ever done business with were the tightest bastards who spent as little as possible - there is a moral there somewhere that would be lost on the aforementioned. BTW, Nige isn't half a fritterer - always spending out on loads of bits and bobs - 'bargains'.

Mind, I am as weak willed as the next man - that's why I didn't go round the stalls at Crich or Victory, so as not to put temptation before me!

Wel, I have money, but that's not for spending. That's my recession 'buffer'!

And yes, I'm a tight bastard too.

Owning a house on one's own is a bit of a stinger TBH. The sooner Kerstin can find a local job and move in with me the better!!!

Hehe! Scaley has just posted this on Facebook for Gadge:

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pCLzHvPdSrE

Not sure if he's just unwittingly summed up the level of respect that Gadge managed to foster during his short time in the service!

Oooooh, has Guy just fall for a set-up from Gadge's to serve his ego on The Bash thread?

I'll see what i can do but as aforementioned i've a paid gig doing the music at the launch party for a mates CD single release. I'm pretty sure its that night.

How much does anyone want a bet that he'll now say "Oh, I was wrong I can make it, I got the dates wrong" when his other event didn't exist in the first place?

Hans Gowert is a bit of an anal one isn't he? Can't get into the zone because people's trousers are the wrong colour? What a knob.

I also hate the way Gadge has started calling CiA events 'games' and PBI's 'battles'. Christ, it was us who started that and have insisting in calling our genre 'battles' and 'events'.

Seriously, if a reenactor went to a PBI game they'd be horrified.

Dave, have you been in contact with Stuart from reenactor mag yet? I can contact him if you like.

Yes, Tom is a exceedingly anal. Doesn't stop him getting rid of surplus kit on this forum though!

Email now sent to Stuart (now you have reminded me :giggle: )
