Given that the insomnia is truly fucking awful at the moment, i've decided to brainstorm a list of possibles for next year. Due to work contacts, I know of a couple of cracking sites that are due to open in the immediate (and no so immediate) future, and getting them shouldnt be a problem. Anway, here's a few suggestions off the top of my head. Some might be ok, some probably complete shit!
One thing we do need to decide on is how many events we want to run, and what type (personally, im becoming less and less enamoured of 500 mile round trips for a one day event)

More Russian front is the way to go I think, people are gagging for it. They have the kit and now, the PPSH41 is out too. Devil's Hill isn't exactly fully booked for yanks yet and, I'm sick of the brits with all of the pbi baggage that they bring,so, why give ourselves grief writing gameplans for games where people don't book?

Forget PBI (Gadge) - all the British players are CIA members NOT PBI lackeys. Loads of Brits at Ariel and Monte Cassino. No baggage at either game.
If we don't have Brits or Yanks and the Russians can't be bothered to turn up at a Craig's event then what do we have?
Frankly, I reckon two CIA games max for next year - one Russian v German, the other Brit v German. Weekenders if it's possible - whether its early evening game Sat + big chunk on Sunday or noon 'til noon, I'm not fussed.
Weekenders, most definitely. If we did 2 next year, it leaves scope for doing a "CiA - lite" event too.

Definitely weekenders. Same time format as used at Jed as well. Two works for me. With regards to a Cia Lite, i've got another idea....

Josh has been dropping VERY heavy hints that he wants to do something jointly, I've not responded and don't feel particularly enthused but at least we'd probably scrape together 40 players between us!
Perhaps it could be the time to organise a "big event" then? Somewhere in the north midlands. Get josh, Ernie, Us & Warren involved? (Tim at XSite also does WW2 stuff as well)

Not sure about a "big event", because Josh would want to rape people with the green fee. Although I'd like to take part in something like that, not sure I'd be so happy organising it!
I had an idea for another "hardcore" type game, reversing the sides from Jedburgh. A group of German POW's discover by chance, details of an allied operation (it could be d-day, market garden, etc). They hatch an escape plot and arrange, via an agent, to meet a U-boat/E-boat at a prearranged time, within 24 hours. Their escape is discovered and the hunt is on. We could allow Brits, civvies and maybe even yanks as "hunter" force and the Germans could be anything from SS to U-boat crew. Run as a "proper" E&E, with RV's and caches, I reckon it could be good if we found the right site?

I'd be up for the Big Event, if only to finally try and quash all the bollocks about us being exclusive and elitist, plus it would be good to do something with Dalby, but he'd need to be kept on a tight leash and I wouldn't want Poacher being involved at all.
