I mean, seriously? Do we want to run anything in 2014, or is it just time to fuck it all.
Bigkie's event has sold out (though I am partially responsible for that), which just demonstrates to me how much the scene has regressed. Craig's last game only managed about 12 people.

A good question and, one I'm not best asked at the moment, given the type of shit people are booking up for. For now, I'm confining myself to Flying Lead and more modern milsim. I don't even want to think about WW2 stuff until 2014. If we do another event and, it fails for whatever reason, then I'm done. I am heartily sick of people robbing our ideas and forum space as if what they are doing is in any way original or challenging.
I've heard a rumour that Ed has packed up at IED as well.

When I want your opinion - I'll tell you what it is!
Yep, I'm pretty much done with it all at the moment. I might get a taste for in again, but not at the moment.
Thing is, if we want to do something in 2014 we'll need to look at dates and venues sooner rather than later.

OK, time to sit down and type now...
Can I be arsed any more you ask? Yes I can. I've been very short of time this year - loads of decorating at home along with carpets and heating earlier this year, fifteen grands worth of building refurbishment and upgrading at work that I'm hoping to finish by the end of this year and then the same again next year, helping my mum out doing man's stuff for her (stop it Steve!). Oh, and having fun with my new car/toy. Should be getting round to a new kitchen by the end of this year too. Next year on top of continuing refurb at work I'll be converting the garage to a downstairs study freeing up a bedroom for my mum to stay from time to time. Plus, work has been bonkers this year, the excellent coalition's work now paying off - the economy took a decided turn half way through last year and steadily increasing since. I get hit by recessions first and see recoveries first too! This is the third cycle I've traded through since 1984 and it's a right pain.
Anyhoo... I won't be doing modern stuff or dressing up as cowboys so I'm left with WW2 or nowt. Next year I would like to have another crack at a WW2 event, possibly one main event plus a smaller, more selective thing. I think the calender will be reasonably open; AGS will do one, maybe two. Kieran/Rich might get their shit together and do one. Oddball might try another (and fail). As for Josh - I'm guessing this November one might be the decider - he is getting all worked up about all the other events that are making him money (plus going back to LARP stuff) so it may very well go back to being a community thing, which suits us. It is possible AGS's tunnel game will get moved to next year, we'll see. As for Craig - well he/they would be content with a good CiA game if not arsed to organise one himself.
I'm not in the least bit despondent about player standards, we haven't really had a problem in the past. There is an issue with people doing other dressy-up stuff and thus have free time pressure. We can't do anything about that but we should be able to get 40 players together with the right site, the right scenario, the right marketing and a bit of good will from the player base.
So I'm more than willing to have another crack but only if there is 100% commitment, which from both your comments I am very unsure of!

I am fully committed to trying again, just not yet.
I have had confirmation from Ed, he has folded IED. However, he still has the permissions for the sites, which may be handy.

Hmmm, interesting. I'd love to have an look at Ceri Forest again.
If we can make something work and get the numbers I'd give it a go in the summer months of 2014.
No comment about the coalition.... ![]()

Heh, they've not put a foot wrong so far for the country, I'm not interested in politics per se or side-taking!
