I believe stopping on the Friday night is OK and gaming starts noon Sat and ends noon Sunday. Can't quite remember whether there are scout facilities for toilets or there are going to be portloos. Either way I'm pretty sure it won't be spades and holes as this area is used by other groups... I have chalked this point up for elaboration on the stickied threads at a later date.

Not sure if is supposed to be that perscriptive Rhys, but if you get a ranger impression, rather than 29th or 116th ID's you will fit in on both beaches.

116th is a regiment of the 29th ID. My regiment! Can't see myself bothering to rebadge my kit to Rangers.

If I dont have lo caps for my thompson, can I use 190 round hi caps? say 5x 190rnd mags putting 120 rounds in each giving me the 600 rnd limit, just the short mags fit in my 5 cell pouch

For added realism I think airborne should be dropped miles away.... somewhere near Cardiff :D

I dont have a problem with American Airbourne as well as brit para's! as long as there is someone on the beach fighting the Germans forward positions, what you think?

I suppose it might depend on numbers. For realism, though, there should be far more dismounted infantry on the beach. And boats!

Tim has a boat...

Ok lets all go 1.

I knew we should have got those gaiters at Beltring.

Webby or Rhys, any chance you could do a Noobs guide to a minimal infantry loadout? We have all the webbing etc just need the basics.

Edited to try to make the 1 come out big and red.
