Soldaten! D DAY is almost upon us, we need to get organised, and need to know who's up for the Waffen SS platoon, hopefully, we've got two MG42's coming with laffettes(Tripods) for interlocking fire, field telephones, sandbags and a whole pile of ammo for our beach defences, plus the possiblity of a motorcycle and sidecar.
This will be our first opportunity to organise ourselves into a real full sized fighting platoon with 8 man sections organised around section commanders, 2IC's, and a platoon commander and HQ. Most of you have done the training and now know how to move and operate in the field. This will be important for the latter phases of the operation, when the fighting moves inland.
We know who the usual suspects are, but get your names down anyway to be part of the best unit in the field the Elite SS Hohenstaufen and Das Reich. Places exist for, section commanders, 2IC's, riflemen, machinegunners and snipers.
For any newbies out there we have a total of four spare sets of uniform and kit that can be loaned out free of charge. So, get your names down folks so we can start to allocate places.
