OK this thread is not entirely because of my jealousy over the TWO German threads that they have, there are other reasons too - I just cannot think of any right now.
So, I will start with a little question for those US honchos. How are we organising ourselves then? We have no need for obsessions with 'MGs' for we have "the greatest implement of battle ever" on our side . But what's the plan on the GIR front?
We have about 9/10 Infantry at the moment so are we going to have a large unwieldy, even if understrength, squad? Or two smaller teams? I just do not know... So I am asking you.
I'd urge you to work on two squads that aren't fixed (ie that can be populated by whomever is available) for maximum flexibility.
This fascination with order and hierarchy that the Germans have will be their undoing.
Excellent, I had hoped you would say that .
But what is this urging? I was expecting orders, though urging is so much more polite . I assume that we will be having one of you lovely chaps 'in charge of' the PIR and one the GIR?
Pete and I are both PIR for this one. Looks like Stu Dunn might be on for GIR CO duties!
Ze Shtatue off Liberty ist kaput
Out you! Out of my thread!
Do not make me read the US Army Pamphlet 'What's wrong with the Germans'...

325th GIR. Regimental motto 'Let's Go!'
Not very imaginative, but makes the point.
Is that made up Craig? Very funny either way!
I quickly googled "315th motto" and this is what it came up with:
"Adveniam" means "I will come"
"DIEU DEFEND LE DROIT" (God Defends The Right)
CAVETE DRACONEM - "Beware of the Dragon"
Nec Timide Nec Tumide (Without fear and without overconfidence)
QUI ME TANGIT PAENITEBIT (He who touches me will repent)
Those are funnier - though perhaps if you types 325th motto you migth have more luck
book on 'em

plus other things, but I think it is correct...
like this -

325th wasn't as productive but these aren't bad:
325th Finance Battalion Unit - "Paying The Best"
"Death With Finesse"
"Semper Mollis" which translates as "Always Flexible"
325th Finance Battalion Unit - "Paying The Best"

everyone mocks the Clerks, easy targets.
325th wasn't as productive but these aren't bad:
325th Finance Battalion Unit - "Death With Finesse"
Not Death by Finance ?
"Death With Finesse" is the Motto of 325th Fighter Wing, which I am sure I remember the original post saying.
"Death With Finesse" is the Motto of 325th Fighter Wing, which I am sure I remember the original post saying.
And it's better said with a heavy lisp.
You've got nothing to ein, zwei, drei, vier
QUI ME TANGIT PAENITEBIT (He who touches me will repent)

Oh, I dunno - apparently they have some motto about dying with finesse...whilst not touching the flexible one that pays the best (or somthing)

I'm perfectly happy for historical accuracy to play itself out to its conclusion with regards the relationship and successes between American and German forces...
See you in (or more accurately just to the west of) Berlin.
