I can loan out some US kit:
5 Cell thompson pouch
Pistol belt.
Thompson (you will need to find a battery)
5 x "20rd" short thompson mags. (190 rd capacity)
M43 airborne jump trousers -reinforced with side pockets & leg ties- and braces - Size 36" waist.
US EM wool shirt - medium size.
Obviously on a knacker/replace basis.
I've got some US a like kit spare from my Vietnam gear. A French M47 (US M43 copy) jacket (42" chest), a NATO late pattern M1 helmet (59ish cm head) and a US canteen cover & cup with non US canteen (don't know where is comes from but it fits in the cover). That plus Ranj's kit is a near full loadout.
I hope it's still ok to borrow the kit everyone has so kindly offered! Can't wait for the event now! As a by thought, any advice from vetrans as to what gear (other than load out) is wise to bring?

Whatever you'll need for camping. Tent, mat/bed, sleeping bag, food, drink, stove, cutlery (?), crockery (?), warm clothes.

to the guys I'm borrowing kit off, is there anything I will need on addition for the event? I'm worried as I don't want to be unprepared! Will I need gear for under the jacket and will it need to be period gear?

I'm pretty sure you'll need to wear something other than just a jacket and trousers. I'd suggest some form of underwear and perhaps a t-shirt or shirt...socks would be useful too.
No need for any of that to be period kit; just the general appearance needs to look period.
You'll want a green t-shirt or similar to wear under the M41 jacket I'm loaning you. I'm surprised, given the time you've had, that you've not got any kit of your own yet.
