OK, new accounts for this are now open.

As discussed, the costs of £187.93 for the mortar that Jay is preparing have already been paid for by Devil's Hill profits.

As we've agreed a set fee of £1300 (TBC) with Cerberus we're currently running a loss of £896.73 for this event (with nine bookings to date - minus £1.73 for Paypal fees ) and a running balance of -£904.16.

We currently have £395.84 cash to hand having carried forward £180.50 from Jedburgh.

I'll hand the accounts over to David on 1st August.

Current financial position.

As things stand at the moment, with existing bank balance less site fees plus payer fees we have £81.38 in the kitty.

For every player booking from now on will will add £45 to the kitty.

When Pete and I ran through game ideas we had the idea of an artillery barrage at the start of Sunday.
Since we have two new shiny mortars it would be a crying shame if we didn't use them so I propose using all our available cash for mortar shells.
Each costs £2.95 plus £16 courier plus VAT.
10 rounds will cost £54
20 rounds will cost £88
30 rounds will cost £123
40 rounds will cost £157
50 rounds will cost £192
60 rounds will cost £227

We used 85 rounds at Jedburgh BTW. I'll need to order from TLSFX by next weekend at the latest. If we get another five booking up then we should be able to get 50 rounds which will be sufficient for use by both sides (in addition to stock) on Sunday.

In stock I have:
22 mortar smoke rounds
1 small red smoke
1 large ringpull smoke
2 Mk9
4 ball grenades
1 Naptha
4 5g electric maroons
3 10g electric maroons

The Naptha and 5/10g charges will be sufficient for an arty set piece first thing Sunday morning.

I've just transferred £1000 from Paypal to the bank account so we have sufficient funds available to give Cerberus a £1100 cheque on the day.

That leaves us with £358 which is enough to cover the mortar rounds leaving £127 or so in the kitty.

So Dave, are you going to carry on with the accounts?

Like I said, I'm happy to take that side of things back as I quite enjoy doing it.

I've got all the stuff here and it only takes a few moments so I might as well carry on while I am carrying out a more 'backroom' role.

Incidentally, we just scrapped through with the last few bookings. I'd suggest the next game is low expenditure too and build up some reserves for possibly low player numbers for E&E and a lot of pyro for Stalingrad.

With regards to Stalingrad, the only props will be Pyro.

Cool beans - if we go with £45 a head for Hess and Jed 2 then we should find ourselves in a more robust position financially, which gives us one less thing to worry about should player numbers dip again - we can just ride it out.

All makes sense to me. Might as well give ourselves a (relatively) simple year financially in 2011 if we can.
