Received today:

Hi,
a couple of us are hoping to come to Devils Hill, but we are complete noobs
as far as WW2 airsoft goes (been airsofting a while and into military
history and wargaming for decades though). Current plan is to come as
Luftwaffe Field Div, or at least some sort of fairly rubbish Germans, I
just wanted to clarify a couple of things:

i) is booking for the event done by direct payment or just by indicating an
interest on the forum?
ii) would it be possible just to come for one day rather than the full two?
iii) how tolerant of 'looks like' weapons is this event going to be? We are
probably going to use AKs as MP44 substitutes, I've also got an M1A1 to use
as a captured weapon. I'd quite like to use my G3-SG1 as a support weapon
as well - it has a bipod and a proper leather sling, or is that pushing it
too far? I can scrim it up if needed, but is is German and black and has a
bipod... converting it into an MG42 might be a bit beyond me.

iv) fps limits?
v) do the ammo limits include side-arms/multiple weapons? (I'm assuming
they do, but wondering about combos like Support + SMG + pistol).

Highlighted questions for discussion! Given the event will be a 'day of two halves' one day would be feasible but my inclination is to say 'no' - the experience is about the two halves not just rolling up and having a pop at the enemy. We have already decided long ago to ban AK's (although one shows up from time to time!) and I don't think a G3 cuts the mustard either. In any case he has a Thompson.

As do I. Sounds like a couple of open dayers who fancy a change by dressing up for a day. Multiple weapons? Sounds like he just doesn't get it.

When I want your opinion - I'll tell you what it is!

At least these bods have an interest in history and a collection of kit - I'm VERY worried about the mega-enthusiastic absolute 'noob at everything' that appeared on the forum and wants to come. I convinced myself it was a wind-up!
