Hi all

As I'm only going to be available for the next couple of weeks, someone else will need to manage the bookings and accounts for Devil's Hill from the beginning of August onwards.

Also, just a polite reminder that I'm not going to be able to get involved in the organisation of this one at all until 20th September at the earliest.

Ta

Most definitely. I don't think we'll have many problems booking this one up.

Nice to see the Germans booking up so well! Once the Blaggers pay up, the Germans will be full.

In spite of what I said in my last post, we're struggling for yanks though. I can only think of Stu, Webby and Marsha who haven't booked, who said they are coming. Jonsteele's 6 haven't materialised yet, Barrie and Anne aren't coming and not a peep out of Pete59, Ranj, or any others either. I know there's a month to go but, I don't have a great feeling about the yank side!

We need 30 as a minimum to pay for the site, don't we?

I've replied to Pete59's post regarding camping, via pm. He has to come a LONG way to get to this, so, I've said it's ok for him to arrive on friday night, as long as he understands we're allowing it as a favour, purely because of how far he travels.

Looks like we have a goer for this event. Webby is booking in next week. That and a couple of Craig's mates and a couple more from Fox Co should see us nearly there. No sign of P Monaf + 3 booking in though. I'm not sure if that is a good thing or a bad thing!

Good news! Nice to see we have reached break even, at least. Also means we can now make some proper plans too.

Had a PM from Tom Hirst (paperpirate) who is local to the site and is coming as PIR. He can't sort Paypal until next Wednesday - but I have put him on the list to boost the numbers a bit!

US side now stands at 17 and German at 18 so I'll let Siedler know that there is no need for him to change sides.

FFS - Jon Steele has dropped out 'cos he broke his finger. Meh, lightweight, I played through Jedborough with a busted digit!

Yup, considering it is the only PIR game ever run right on their doorstep. No excuses.

Slight change around. Rupe has taken Jon Steele's place and Jon is coming as a non-combatant warco to do some stills filming of the event, which will be nice. I'll give him a jerry smock so he can cover both sides.

The AI team haven't booked nor has Gadge made any arrangements to cover the event for Reenactor Mag like he said, so at least we will get some imagery from Jon/Rupe.

Interesting comment from Gadge on Wladek's Facebook page talking about Devil's Hill:

I'm still hoping I can get over to cover it for WWII Re-Enactors mag, Ranj offered me a lift from Wakefield but its going to be a bit of a mission so i'm hoping someone more Notts based is going

We don't want the biased little prick there anyway.
