Heh, finally found a day clear to get this down on paper.
Game plan attached, comments/questions welcomed ![]()

Looks good. All I can see is the need to point out on saturday that the first US regen can't be attacked/captured, at least to begin with. Also, as Steve and I are both wearing para uniforms, one of us can "survive" the initial ambush and get back to the GIR to alert them at their start line.

When I want your opinion - I'll tell you what it is!
Oh, that's a bit awkward, I though you had M41 and wools and Steve was PIR with his jumpsuit! Your call on who leads the GIR then - don't make it Yith!
Yes. that first ambush is just a bit of show really to shit up the US and give a bit of context - it needs to done and dusted really quickly so just needs to be walked into, Germans will retreat rapidly to fall back position so US can reorganise and consolidate. No need to get back all the way to GIR, a smoke at the fence line will be their signal.
Both sides can set regens so should the US's first base be taken for some weird reason then just reassign one elsewhere.

I do have M41/mustards but, I'm loaning them out in order to get some use from my expensive ATF jumpsuit!
No big problem though, Stu can lead the GIR until we all link up.

Just to note, I'd be really happy to wire up an arty barrage with someone on the Saturday morning. I've not set a proper barrage up yet.

No problemo, early doors on Sunday. ![]()

WTF is all this about people coming as SS and Heer!?

Why not, it's in the scenario! I'll be SS, Guy will be Heer. Kermit as FJ - Jay?

Ah, I thought we were selling it as PIR/GIR vs FJ.
I just wondered why those capable of putting together FJ kit were deciding otherwise.

It was supposed to be paratrooper vs paratrooper but the Yank paras seem to have vanished!
As far as I know everyone with FJ kit is coming as FJ - I think this is the first game ever to feature them strongly so they have taken advantage, bless 'em.

Yeah, fuck knows what's going on with the US paras. AFAIK we've only ever had two people from Dog Company at one of our events anyway, and that was before they'd even formed! (GayUK and Doug at Husky).

Nope, wont be coming as FJ. None of my FJ clothing fits any more ![]()

Weren't there a few DC at Autumn Mist?
Jon Steele's lot seems to have lost interest (Rupe amongst them).

FIT? Is this a fashion show now then?
On a technical note: These FJ never parachuted in so would they necessarily be wearing FJ smocks? Wouldn't a splinter zelt be just as likely?

I think it was only Doug...
I do wonder what the hell these people do with their lives? Is there no sticking power, are people's attention spans really that bad?
FFS, XVIII Corps only managed to get a name and a banner before interest was lost.
Looks like I'll have to sell my US gear and get Brit kit in the New Year then!!!!

Reminded me, sure that some of Rupe's lot said they were going to come when I chatted to them at the IED E&E a couple of weeks ago. Will try and find out whats going on.
Er, and as to me an FJ kit, it aint just jumpsmocks that dont fit. It's jumptrousers and fligerbluse that don't either. Made me realise what a fat bastard I used to be though ![]()

MG count on German side - 4 (Kermit, Martin, Dave B, Tiny). This will be a VERY interesting battle. On the face of it insurmountable but in reality not so bad - MGs tied down and pretty immobile and fixing two men leaves plenty of awesome strategy, flanking or assaulting for the US. It could well be the most exciting and challenging battle yet and a huge contrast to all that has gone before.

We'll need lots of smoke and lots of grenades.
Will pyro be on sale on site?
S

Grenades won't be of much use because of the tree cover, esp on Saturday. You will have the mortar on Sunday so make best use of that, don't let 'em arse around and waste rounds!
They do stock TLSFX so I'll make sure they have stock on the day.
