Here's an interesting thread about ww2 torches, some of the US style right angled torches are still available today, just what you need in the tunnels,

I prefer the right angled ones to the German ones .

I quite like the German one! Complete crap mind you but, very atmspheric when you can only see about 10 metres in front of you!

The ww2 philips "'knijpkat'" dyno torches are quite nice, no batteries, last forever :twisted:

Yes I have my Dino head lamp riveted to my M1 helmet and a nice green laser sight all sorted for this game :rofl:

This is my Dino not sure what dyno is :whistle:

At wotan, my right angle torch didnt really help that much, especially with the red filter in! lol

Once you get deep into the tunnels, it isnt so bad, because your eyes adjust, but as soon as somebody flashes a torch at you, back to squinting!

No really! (Heh, pea grenades are banned 'cos the sprout on the damp floors - looks very weird!) :rofl:

Just got myself a large OD L torch which I plan to hook onto my webbing. :good:

The right angled torches used by the British army till recently is almost identical to the WW2 US right angled torch :twisted:

There's a tradition of people taking pictures of their socked feet on this forum. I'm sure it gives Chommers some gratification of some sort...... :shock:
