Did some research, and this is what i've come up with - a nice mix of fact and fantasy! I found some more interesting stuff but I'll explain more about that face-to-face, not posting it up online thats for sure (it kinda freaked me out a little  )

Anyway, have a read and tell me what ya think.

"Projekt Wotan II - "Die Glocke"

Ludwigsdorf, Lower Silesia, 1945

Sturmbannfuhrer Rudolf Schuster was impressed with the work of his hand picked Special Evacuation Komando. "Die Glocke" had been removed from it's specially designed laboratory, and the 62 Scientists that had worked on it had been liquidated with relative ease. Now all he had to do was to to somehow move it to the west, where hopefully the work on it could be completed before the Western Allies over ran its new home at a research facility in the Ruhr. He reasoned that he had better figure it out sooner rather than later, as his commanding officer, Obergruppenführer Hans Kammler, was not a man you wanted to displease...

SHAEF, France, 1945

Capt R Gregson, a Physicist by education, but now uniformed as a member of the US Army's CIC was not a man who was easily shaken, but as he strode from the entrance of the Trianon Palace Hotel in Versailles, he was worried. He knew of Torsion Field theory, but he thought it nothing more than a fantasy. A fantasy, that is, until he was given command of a small unit of specialists, and a mission to the Ruhr. One that should he fail, might just change the course of the war...

London, NID Office '30', The Admiralty, 1945

Major Stevens had a reputation to uphold, and uphold it he would. With the best troops available, he would complete his mission. He was a soldier first and foremost. He didn't have any interest in science - he left that to his "technical specialists", but when Commander Flemming gave him a job, he carried it out to the letter, but first he had to work something out. How the hell was he going to get to the target area? and then he had to work out how he was going to deal with the damn yank team that would obviously be after the same prize....

Units

German:
"Special Evacuation Komando" - Hand-picked Abwehr, Waffen-SS & FJ unit

Split into groups. 4 x 2 men roving patrols, rest in mess hall.

Americans:

Notes

Brits and Yanks MAY help each other out in the field, though it should be made abundantly clear that they are there to fulfill the wishes of their own countries! (should cause a little infighting, anyway!)

Shall we open the bookings then?

One thing, how do we stop non-members booking? Or if they do, do I just refund them?

OK by me.
Is this called "Die Glocke" now? Don't much care for using the Wotan name again...

Yet another week gone by and the chaps are getting restless!

All we need is a confirmed game name, brief outline of scenario (sentence or two not a full plot or game plan) and the groups of players. Slap the booking up, bish bash bosh and we get 40 players booked and then we can look at expanding info at a later date.

"Projekt Wotan II - "Die Glocke"

Intro (use this bit for the game info)

Somewhere in lower Silesia....

Another day, another experiment. The workers replaced the thick rubber mats that lined the tiled test cell and sprayed the area down with brine. The mats would be burnt, the contaminated brine would be barreled then shipped to a mine to be buried half a kilometre under ground.

Dr. Wilhelm Voss turned to an associate, asking about the supplies of the mysteriously glowing chemical known only as “Xerum 525”. “There is enough, Herr Doktor” was the response and Voss was happy with the answer. His gaze once more rested upon the large device sitting in the centre of the test cell. Known as “Die Glocke”, due to its bell-like shape, he was sure that it could help turn the war to the Reich’s advantage once more, as long as they were successful before the Allies over ran the facility...

Forces

German - "Special Evacuation Komando" - Hand-picked Abwehr, Waffen-SS & FJ unit (20 players)
British - 30 AU (10 Players)
US - CIC (10 players)

Combat Command B, Third Armoured Division, US Army

“Why not just charge on to Berlin? Why go to some craphole of an industrial site, that’s been bombed to hell and back already?” Capt R Gregson asked himself. Then it occurred to him why. His unit, CC-B, Third Armoured, had been the first to come across the work of Obergruppenführer Hans Kammler at Nordhausen in Saxony, and now the outfit he was part of had been ordered to get to the Skoda Works at Pilsen, then onto some place called Ludwigsdorf in Lower Silesia – and the reason why, well, SHAEF just hadn’t deigned to tell them yet, but you could bet that if it was one of Kammler’s joints, whatever going on there either had to be stopped, or had to be gotten hold of before the Commies or Limeys got to it….

London, Whitehall

“What the hell do the Yanks want with Lower Silesia?” Major Geoffrey Stevens asked himself. “The war is in its dying days, Berlin is the big prize now!”. He picked the folder up from the desk, a folder simply marked as “Kammlerstab – TOP SECRET”. Then he understood. This was the real prize, Berlin was a pile of rubble, nothing more than a symbol of the destruction of the Nazi empire. But this, this was far more important, and Major (Dr) G Stevens Phd could see that he was going to have to go and speak to an old friend of his, Commander Flemming, head of a secretive unit known only as “30 AU”…

Ludwigsdorf, Lower Silesia, 1945

Sturmbannfuhrer Rudolf Schuster was impressed with the quality of the personnel he had managed to gather for this most important of missions – a mission authorised by Obergruppenführer Hans Kammler himself. Under his command, a detachment from the SS SEK (Special Evacuation Komando), two JU390’s of the Luftwaffes’s elite Kampfgeschwader 200, along with Fallschirmjager attached to the unit, the secretive “3rd Staffel”.
His orders had been simple. Hold the facility for as long as possible against the damned Allies, then evacuate the equipment and liquidate the scientists working there…

Hah!!!!! I like the incorporate of the Xerum 525 purple colour which is mentioned in various stories about Die Glocke.

Not sure about the flying saucer. Maybe this would be more ambiguous:

EDIT: Just spotted the werewolf.......WTF?

I don't think we need to make it ambiguous - a cursory search for Die Glocke (which I'm sure they will all do) will reveal all.

Werewolf? Nasty German Shepherd - there will be plenty  Just something to catch the eye and get 'em talking

Given the discussion on both sides about what to wear and units to portray, there are some people talking about going undercover civilian.

Now, that's cool. But if we have people on both sides doing it, we need some sort of way of indentifying the sides from one-another.

TBH, I reckon most of the Germans will be in uniform, but you never know.

I'm pretty certain all the Brits will want to look like Brits.

Blummin 'ek, does Gadge get carried away or what? It's only a day into the booking and he is already organising cuff titles...

Heh, need to grasp control though - camo or no camo etc. It's for us to dictate any common kit plans, not Gadge!
