The first and most important stage in the Jimmys rebuild has been completed and the GMC had its first run out yesterday :happyclap:

Those of you at Anzio will see it in the flesh, It is still "work in progress" but the welding and reconstruction on the back of the cab is done, as is the re-wire and 12V conversion, New exhaust from head to tail pipe, carburettor re-built and re-plumbed, braking system completely renewed and the brake servo up graded to the Hydovac3 unit, all wheel bearings and seals sorted and new drive shafts in the front axle as they were found to be missing (Why would someone remove them?)...
There has been a fair bit of new paint slapped on the old girl but there is still a fair bit to do, but it took 70yrs to get into the state she was in so to expect to get back to showroom condition in less than a couple of years or so (without throwing more £'s than can be afforded) is only to be expected!
