Lots of original kit
Purchased an M1 jacket and Big Red One patch. There was four different ones to choose from. The guy knew his stuff, and advised me for the WW2 patch.
And the correct one is?
As you said Imp, the darker one.
The different shield shape = WW1
He's got some good repro M41 jackets at £45
We had a long discussion on shade of the jacket and compared them to the 60 odd year old originals he has in stock.
I wanted the lighter colour jacket but he explained about how the jacket would have looked in 44 etc deeper khaki colour (more realistic to what they would have looked like
It's a small building, but packed to the rafters

What make was the M41?
Ive never owned or seen an original M41 to be honest to compare but ive owned now around 5 different M41s by different makers and ive been happy with all of them-no complaints at all and no one stood out over the others.
To be honest the one i liked the most was the cheapest-SOF had them for £29.99.
Sold them all now with the exception of my ex Private Ryan one 
Platoon are great for advice, I get a lot of my stuff from there!
Correct patch is the dark background 1 with the raw edge finish as far as I'm aware.
As for my Field Jacket, I got 1 of the darker Khaki ones from platoon, but I also have a lighten tan one (that I got from Ste D) I prefer using the ligher one for airsoft as it shows the mud more, darker khaki 1 for posing hehe

Me and my friend both got ours from SOF but mine was light tan and his was darker but I think I prefer my lighter one.
I think it suits the stereotypical US GI look being tan.
