These rules will apply throughout the Arnhem game.
When you are a civilian
You must not wear an orange armband and may not use any weapon or pyrotechnic device. You may however carry them concealed on your person or in a bag (etc).
As a civilian you do not have a medic rule. One hit and you are out.
German Soldiers
When a German Soldier asks for your papers "Pappieren Bitte!", then you should show them, unless you really need to get away. A German soldier may shoot you if you refuse to show papers.
A German soldier may arrest you after they have checked your papers, if they do then you must follow them to their commanding officer. If you resist then they may shoot you.
If they shoot you at this point then you should do what the German player asks, this may include taking you to their commanding officer.
Any other situation, if shot you must shout "civilian", the German player who shot you must then also return to regen.
British/US Soldiers
These are your friends. You may work with them. You may ask to be taken to their commanders or the OSS operative.
If they shoot you then you must shout "civilian", the Allied player who shot you must then also return to regen
OSS operative
The OSS operative has a collection of orange arm bands. These may be put on you by him or at the Allied regen point. Once you have them on you become a Dutch Resistance Worker (see below). If you are caught carrying rather than wearing an armband then you may be arrested by a German soldier.
When you are a resistance worker
You are effectively a member of the allied forces. As such you may use any weapon or pyro. You have a normal medic rule as the rest of the troops do.
You may only remove your armband at the allied regen or it may be removed by the OSS operative. Once removed you become a Dutch Civilian and are held to the rules given above.
Clarification
The following count as cheating and will not be tolerated:
- Removing or putting an armband on at any time other than mentioned above.
- Firing a weapon or using any pyrotechnic whilst not wearing an armband.

I think I get it, but for crystal clarification;
We can only change between dutch civilian and DRW either in the presence of the OSS Officer or in regen, correct?
Will Jerry be searching our shops? Is there any provision for hiding stuff?
Yes, but consider what may happen if you get caught in possession....
Germans will be stopping and searching civilians and may be carrying out searches of premises if suspicions are raised. Hell, we will be searching premises even if suspicions aren't raised. Why? Because we can.
