Airsoft Event

22nd & 23rd January 2022

Camp Sparta - DN21 4HZ

Battle for the Reichstag!

In the early hours of 29 April the Soviet 3rd Shock Army crossed the Moltke Bridge and started to fan out into the surrounding streets and buildings. The initial assaults on buildings, including the Ministry of the Interior, were hampered by the lack of supporting artillery. It was not until the damaged bridges were repaired that artillery could be moved up in support. At dawn the Soviets pressed on with their assault in the south-east. After very heavy fighting they managed to capture Gestapo headquarters on Prinz-Albrechtstrasse, but a Waffen-SS counter-attack forced the Soviets to withdraw from the building. To the south-west the 8th Guards Army attacked north across the Landwehr canal into the Tiergarten.

By the next day, 30 April, the Soviets had solved their bridging problems and with artillery support at 06:00 they launched an attack on the Reichstag, but because of German entrenchments and support from 12.8 cm guns 2 km away on the roof of the Zoo flak tower, close by Berlin Zoo, it was not until that evening that the Soviets were able to enter the building. The Reichstag had not been in use since it had burned in February 1933 and its interior resembled a rubble heap more than a government building. The German troops inside made excellent use of this and were heavily entrenched. Fierce room-to-room fighting ensued. At that point there was still a large contingent of German soldiers in the basement who launched counter-attacks against the Red Army.On 2 May 1945 the Red Army controlled the building entirely.

The famous photo of the two soldiers planting the flag on the roof of the building is a re-enactment photo taken the day after the building was taken. To the Soviets the event as represented by the photo became symbolic of their victory demonstrating that the Battle of Berlin, as well as the Eastern Front hostilities as a whole, ended with the total Soviet victory. As the 756th Regiment's commander Zinchenko had stated in his order to Battalion Commander Neustroev "... the Supreme High Command ... and the entire Soviet People order you to erect the victory banner on the roof above Berlin".

  • ADVANCE – The Soviet Army have crossed the Moltke Bridge and now must capture the heavily defended Krall Opera House and the Reichstag itself!

  • DELAY – Kampfgruppe Anhalt of the Waffen-SS needs to hold the Reichstag building at all cost, and delay the Soviets from entering Sector Z of Berlin.

Here is just a taste as to what your senses may experience during one of our events.

Put on your headphones, turn up the volume and imagine you're one of the last defenders of Berlin in 1945... You are sat in the head quarters on the top floor of the Reichstag, your mp40 gripped tightly in your hands as the Soviets clear each room with grenades and sub machine guns!

Completely understand, just a shame as it makes it an expensive day out, and must make it even harder for you, as if its not difficult enough to get people to these games !

I'll have to hope Santa gives me some money for Christmas 😁

Many have asked for a breakdown of the loadouts being used at our events.
Here is one of our community member's Soviet Infantry impression. This would have likely been seen From 1941 right through to the end of the war.
It is not 100% accurate as we need to keep it practical for airsoft.

Amid growing concern from you, the players, we have reduced our day rates back to £45 as it was. We reviewed it decided it really wasn't fair to you as a day player.

We will also be doing a 10% off... Keep watching 😉

ORDERS for the Fall of Berlin - WW2 Airsoft event! We are getting more an more excited now!!!
April 29, 1945
We are located north of the Kral Opera House. Only fighting days left from this war! Let's have a Total War on the Germans and Revenge for every drop of blood! This is one of the many buildings we should take to fight the Reichstag! Then advance to Sector Z and Office!
• ENEMY: The enemy forces are less than the power of the mouth, and they are currently stretched in the defense that we should have easily crushed, last night they took the last defensive positions under the cover of darkness. They are easily armed with rifles, pistols, and bullets. Neither armor equipment nor artillery are visible.
• FRIENDLY: Friendly forces consist of several scouts, regular infantry and local militia from the Homeland who joined the battle from Poland. We have a variety of firearms, tanks and artillery.
Our mission is to take over the Reichstag! Take on the Reichstag!
• INTENTION: I intend to first capture the Krala Opera House as it is well protected, then occupy all the buildings surrounding Kenigsplatz before I take the prize! Reichstag!
• MANUVERA SCHEMA: Immediately after the order, you will divide all into sections under the command of the squad commanders and plan our attack before we provoke a smoke curtain to blind the enemy, then we attack rapidly!
• MAIN EFFORT: Catch the Reichstag!
We have battalions of strike troops ready to take all the losses! We have ammunition and tanks in reserve, first of all we have the fighting spirit needed to win this war!
We have one ration at the observation post in the artillery brigade. It can only be used for fire missions and ammunition refill. In case the Mission is lost, I will send a message to Zhukov.
