How Close is the Bundswher Luftwaffe tunic to the Fliegerbluse?
i was just wondering if it would be a cheap alternate to buying a proper Fliegerbluse? Of course i would have to purchase the chest eagle and colar tabs, but would the tunic be any good?
Thanks
George
Dunno - show me a picture and we'll have a better idea.
You've got nothing to ein, zwei, drei, vier
Well that's far more similar to the Tuchrock, rather than the Fliegerbluse which was worn by FJ. In fact, it's nothing like the Fliegerbluse, really.
My advice - get one good kit done, rather than a few done badly.

Tuchrock?? could you enlighten me?
and its for a mate of mine, however if it was decent a decent idea i might have stolen his idea
The Tuchrock is a dress tunic, the Fliegerbluse is a service tunic. The whole cut is different.
AHHH
ok thanks for that
What Steiner said. I've done a uniform conversion (Swedish -> M43) and by the time you've bought all the bling, replacement buttons etc it is probably cheaper to buy a proper repro jacket in the first place.
I do rather like the robust construction of a real WW2 uniform though, some repro stuff seems to be made out of tissue paper!
