As steiner says its a mixture of green & splinter, its all down to personal preference since either is acceptable for most of the games so far (either past or known future games).
Whilst a Crete game would be tremendous fun, I don't think it'll be happening in the near future!

Yeah - I've got a type 2 in OG and a type 3 Splinter. I've even got a pair of LW blue/grey trousers that I can wear for late war "we'll use any kit we can get issued with" impression lol
Most of my webbing is army issue right now for interchangeablity with my forthcoming (although god knows when) Heer impression so I'm very defineatly a late war look. However I intend to do any early war FJ impression too so will probably end up buying nearly a whole new set of webbing & smock for that at some point. Then I'll definately be campaigning for a crete game.
At least i've done the sensible thing an got a plain OG helmet and stuck a cover over it so I don't need 2 of them! 
Anyway, the moral of the story is you can wear whatever you want and we'd be happy to have you!
In lines of kit, major has DAK uniform, wouldn't worry about being Kreta 
I want an OG knochensack but apparently they don't make them in my size so it maybes some time till I get one and alter it so will when someone gets a small in (looks in noones direction **cough**), in splinter B,
