Marco, try looking for Boots Combat High - a good approximation of FJ front-laced boots. I got mine (size 12) from here: http://www.cadetdirect.com/order1.php?pg=685

Comfort-wise, they are not as good as the modern Assault Boot. The main thing is not to tighten them too much, because all the tension ends up on the shin bone. (They don't have any.... don't know what they're called...little metal bits that hold the tension of the laces on the foot section) I learned this the hard way! However, once I'd loosened the laces a bit, I found mine quite comfortable.
Durable - certainly. They are British Army boots!
