...how do they attach to the tags? I got mine from SoF and expected them to have folding paper-fastener type things, but they're solid allow which doesn't bend! I haven't a clue how to stick them on... 
Don't quite understand your description, Che's were those of the paper fastener style you mentioned one being on either wing, they came from Anthony though. Merely pressed through the collar tab and then bent over, to stop them falling off 
My 'fasteners' are solid metal, and won't bend. 
Maybe I should get some new ones off Anthony...
I had a bit of trouble with mine, but Jay/Kermit suggested I poke a small hole in the tabs with a knife, stick the points through those then fold them over once they've made it to the other side.
This was after I used brute force to push the fiddly little things through
If the guls are that solid, you should be able to push them through the tabs and use something like a hammer to bend them flat before stitching them to your fliegerbluse.
