Don't suppose major will see this before tonight what with internet and him being intermittent atm, so posted on pst too. Anyone know the position to stitch rank onto the jump smock ? I've looked through the Brian Davies book and can't find anything other than a brief description of its location on the arm 
. I need to sew it on today as its taking a trip darn sarf (well sarf of us, but north of watford gap 
) so if anyone can pinpoint in mm/cm where I should sew, it would be most appreciated.

to be honest, it's prolly not worthwhile sewing rank insignia on the KS, was rarely worn by FJ in the later years and only by Unteroffizier or above.
Am on orders, they ain't for me and as they were a gift there is orders from that person too, its all part of a master plan no doubt 
but remember bling is the new black
only pics i've seen show it half way between the elbow and shoulder if its the tactical subdued 'gullwings' rank you mean.
