A Repro PPSh-41 stock, useful for someone building a airsoft version.

I considered it myself briefly, but I don't have the skills, time, money or need to make one! lol

Early Belgian para smock, very similar to British type. Half zip, single button pockets, large size. Good for lookalike brit Airborne. I've got one and it's excellent, also got knitted cuffs but sewn inside the sleeve.

From the pics the zip looks like its almost a full zip-only ending just before the pop studs for the crutch flap?

Many many moons ago i did have a similar smock which had a "true" half zip and it was a fantastic smock and now regret selling-not as an authentic repro just as a very handy, hardwearing jacket.

Well spotted Taff, I never noticed that. Mine's the proper half zip finishing between the breast pockets, but that definately looks like three quarter length.

Yep,a shame as it has the correct pockets and not those God awfull 3 popper pockets

I wonder why there was so much bloody variation in these smocks, zips, pockets etc?

Very similar to the one I used to have, but in khaki. Experts tell me that the date is not reliable for these as war dated parts were used in postwar civilian bags, which is what I think this is. There's a bar missing on the frame and the straps should be on leather straps with buckles.

It's an excellent look-a-like, but don't spend a fortune on it!

Didn't plan to myself. Just throwing it out there for the collective as I found it while trawling.

Yeah, the shoulder straps and back support straps seem to be made from surplus webbing cross straps - and it's probably these that have the date on them*.
I've a genuine '44 dated (dated on the inside of a side pocket) tan/khaki one. There were two designs (I'm talking about build, not colour) of bergan produced; one was the standard bergan, and one was a 'mountain issue' with a larger/stronger frame. Mines got the larger metal framework and I'm told it's quite rare, but I've never used it.

*EDIT: Just had a look at the pictures; yep, just as I though. The bag itself is probably not dated, and made post-war for the civilian market (albeit to military patterns).
