I would suggest any mine clearing demo works goes to Martin & Gav then we all have a 'specialist' roll.

Everyone happy? :?:

I'm happy with that! :giggle:

Looks good to me and I do enjoy mine clearance!

I don't have any German wire cutters but I could bring my British ones.

Cheers
Martin

So don’t think I marched there for this reason – it could carry another name – but because there is a very important goal... this goal I wanted to take – and you know – we are very modest, we have it already."

"Comrades, Red Army men, commanders and political workers, men and women guerrillas! It is on your perseverance, staunchness, fighting skill and readiness to discharge your duty to the country that the defeat of the German-fascist army and the liberation of the Soviet land from the Hitlerite invaders depend! We can and must clear the Soviet land of Hitlerite vermin."

Well, I shall continue to wear my Feldgrau Wools for the Sunday for the simple reason I don't own anything else :)

Can you believe it, I have actually started sorting my gear out already, the game is six weeks away!

Once more wrestling with the A frame, what an utterly useless piece of gear. I might just go with the WW1 style assault pack.

Cheers
Martin

Ah yes, well it is always a chance to wear new stuff :) My new mess tin (which has been thoroughly scrubbed and disinfected before I cook anything in it!) and engineer shoulderboards in this case. I might have to move some insignia around as well, the fun never ends and I quite enjoy sewing.

I shall stick with my captured British boots which have served me so well for so many years.

Saying that I'm about to kit up to make sure I look the part with what I have planned

Now do I still use black shoulder boards or the Grass Green? Can hardly tell em apart :slap:

After doing the catwalk thing in front of the mirror, the judges approve :good:

What I've got planned is:

M40 Helmet with Splinter cover (Somehow it doesn't look quite right to me with the helmet cover on)
M42 tunic & M40 Trousers (Not much of a choice if I doing Heer)
Jackboots (I love my Jackboots so they being worn on the day)
Belt with Heer buckle & Y straps
Shovel (Believe it's the eastern front style, if there is one)
Breadbag, Green
G43 pouches (For the Tanka)
Some Black Airsoft protection gloves (That aren't the ones I had at the Luga game as I left them on a bus and some bastard has ran off with em  )

And of course I'll have me eye protection on, will bring the half mask along just in case

I have the same outfit (expect low boots and MP40 pouches).
I will also add:
- water bottle
- gas cannister
and potentially:
- A-frame with zeltbahn, mess tin and ammo box (pictures later)

Yeah, might go for the half face mask as well. Looks like I'll be rocking an M40 uniform, with cap. Shoulder boards ordered. Will be using the Garand. Need to sort out a buckle and bread bag. I might order the K98 pouches; though they don't seem to actually fit anything. Look the part though.

I am also working on my outfit or rather equipment. Bought an 5cm mortar ammo box. Thought I turn it into a demolition box :happyclap:
