My Uncle served in the 13th/18th Hussars at the very end of the war and stayed on til about 1950.
I visited him the other day and got some quick camera shots of his old album, they are not great pics and at some point i'll ask if i can scan them properly but I thought these might interest some of you.
None of them are dated but some of the later ones clearly show 49 pattern BD and there is also the soviet war memorial in berlin that wasnt built until 1949 either.
