Has any one read "Green Beach" by James Leasor.. Recomended by a friend, picked it up for next to nothing on Amazon. What a fantastic read about a RAF radar expert sent in with the commados on the Dieppe raid, to find out if the Germans Radar was more advanced than ours.. He has a 10 man escort to protect him or kill him if he falls into enemy hands, because he knows to much about our radar.. I can honestly say a great book, a true story, and an incredible easy read.. I'm reading a book a week at the mo.. Last one "SOE" by MRD Foot. Fantastic book but hard going.. However this one is even easier and more enjoyable than "The Jedburghs" by Will Irwin..

Very true.. A broad spectrum, Commandos, Germans and possibly French. However if you did a scenario based on the earlier Bruneval raid you could also include Marquis and Paras..

Just remembered, 50 US Rangers went in on the Dieppe raid..
