Is this a WWII type item?

The rope is thin 10 to 12mm and the toggle 4inches.
I've read somewhere that the repro's are much thicker but some of the real ones were quite thin. Can anyone help identify it?
That really doesn't look like a WW2 toggle rope to me - usually thay are about 15mm to 25mm thick natural coloured hemp rope, about 5ft long. I've never seen a green military rope before. Also, is yours a synthetic rope? It looks very similar to the ones I used to use when I was in the Scouts. I can't quite tell from the photo.

McVickers it is proper hemp and not synthetic rope. I have found references to thineer ropes used on some of the real ones, but nothing definitel like photos. Also believe there is a "jungle" toggle rope, which seems similar to this but I cannot find pics of.

I've not heard of a 'jungle' toggle rope before, but it looks more promising if it is natural hemp - the ones we had in Scouts were green nylon.

I think you're right but it is definitely not nylon rope. I see a feint number on the toggle as well.
