Do i need to join on a permanent basis to be classed as a axis member. im signed up for d-day now.

If you mean access to the 'Axis Private' forum section then this is currently being used for the Wotan event players - it's really for tactical and team bonding purposes, so you aren't missing out on anything and are not being excluded!
