Please don't take this the wrong way, but I did rotate the picture when I saved it to the laptop - memory stick inserted into card reader, MS icon clicked on, photos imported, card reader/MS ejected, side on photos rotated - and when I open them in my image viewing software they come up OK. When I uploaded this one to photobucket, it was side on again for some reason -

Tech reason to bore you! When your camera detects an upright photo being taken or you 'rotate' the image using some importing s/w the image isn't physically rotated at all, merely a text tag added to the image metadata to say 'view this rotated 90 degrees'. If s/w doesn't recognise the tag (it looks like photobucket doesn't in this case) then the image remains as-shot. Open the image in Photoshop or similar s/w, rotate then save and all the pixels are written as you see it. Ta-da!

So, the shoot is going to be in Matlock?
I don't see how it can be - whole site is full of 'nam players, some of which include us WW2-ers. I can't do both and there ain't room anyway so I guess it will be at another site - have to await SH's instruction.
Jusr waiting for a pm from Sgt Heide, to confirm things, I think we might have to use the paintball site we used for the first training Day, there's some open fields for squad movement photos, a nice hedge lined lane for patrol shots, somewhere we can set up a firing range and a few ditches to use as trenches, if this goes ahead I'd like to ask everyone to bring everything they have in terms of uniform and equpiment, so we can get a full range of really good portrait shots, as well as a standard correctly rigged out SS section, complete with heavy weapons.
All of us in extended line going across a field Vietnam war style would look good.

Really struggling to find a suitable central location that isn't swarming with paint ballers or airsofters for the dates mentioned. Sgt Heide's paintball site has both PB and AS events on the same day that we want. We've got enough numbers, ie, people who would like to attend, but locating a suitable site means we might have to delay this until the "D"Day event in November. Sorry folks!
I'm both disappointed and relieved - I've got a Vietnam day booked on the 30th that a few of us were going to, so that has resolved itself!
With work I won't be able to make the D-Day event, pitty, did try to get leave for my rostered Saturday but its a no go, unless I can arrive 7 am Sun & just play the Sunday
As with Dave, would love to do the phot shoot but have invested too much in the vietnam game now so im sort of glad we cna do it later.
