To get the correct height for a zelt tent you need three long poles and one short.
If memory serves that is one from the top photo and three from the bottom.
The brown 'bakelite' pegs are handy in softer soil/sand. I think they are old East German stocks, there isn't a wartime equivalent.
The metal pegs may not fit through the corner grommets, it depends who made your zelt. They are very close in appearance to wartime pegs. The addition of a cord loop helps in extracting the peg when moving on, sash window cord is perfect.
