Left my canteen at work, so I only got it home last night (via the tailors with my fliegerbluse, but that's another story), and when I attached it to my breadbag, the bottom part of the strap which attaches to the leather loop broke at the eyelet! It sits on fine, I just think as it's an original the leather might might have been a bit weak around there.

My question is, is it possible to get a replacement for this strap, either real or repro, so my canteen won't swing about by the karbin clip? :slap:

If you order from SOF select the nextday delivery, (it's an extra pound), and so far they've not let me down. The order that's coming tomorrow was placed yesterday afternoon, I'll be phoning them up soon just to check it's on it's way

SOF have now started doing canvas DAK style water bottle straps. Under "new arrivals" and priced at £25. I much prefer the canvas straps, they're much longer lasting.

Heide, that's dangerous talk, and you know it.... all it takes is one canvas DAK Feldflasche strap, and before you know it, you've gone and bought the whole darned Afrika Korps outfit!!!

Mmm......Afrika Korps....!

You've got nothing to ein, zwei, drei, vier

Lol, well I have DAK y straps and a DAK style waterbottle strap, so I'm already on the rocky path to another loadout!

Yeah, we had a discussion about that on Saturday. Just after my 60-odd year-old strap broke! DAK strap it is, then...
