Probably a silly question, but I'm not too familiar with Jerry uniforms. Will trouser braces designed for the regular wool uniform work with the HBT uniform as well? I'm unsure if the cut is any different or if they had their own unique braces - or if they could even accept braces at all!
I'm aware there's a belt that can be worn with them, but prefer the braces.

Kendo, you're right to go for the braces, since that is what the trousers are designed for, and how they look best. 
HBT trousers should be exactly the same cut as wools (however, I did once have a pair that didn't come up high enough at the waist), so you should be able to use braces with them. If they happen not to have all the correct buttons (some poorer quality ones don't), the metal buttons are widely available (on ebay, etc), so with a bit of home sewing, you will be fine.
