played in my german gear for the first time the other day (in the snow)
loved it
however, i have a question RE field gear and belt order
How do you stop it all from slipping around? as in, my gear on my belt just sort of travelled along the belt during use.
is there any tips or tricks of the trade to stop this?
or is it one of those 'its period gear, get used to it' sort of things?
SECONDLY
thinking of getting a few extra bits for my belt, how do i attack gas mask canisters to my belt order???
Cheers
Jonny
Belt hooks - and having the belt itself tight enough - tends to help stop it all flying around. As to the gas mask can, there is a single large loop that goes over the shoulder, and a metal clip on a short section of webbing that you attach to the back of the belt.

Like Kermit says- get the belt good 'n' tight. Using y-straps also limits how far stuff can slide.
I found this site really useful for seeing different variations of belt order

having belt kit good and tight is the only option you will have, but you will still see it flying all over the place . One of those things with it all really.

Hans - your sig is a bit off. If you're going for the Soviet psyop slogan it should read:
Alle sieben Sekunden stirbt ein deutscher Soldat

is use black insulation tape BEHIND the pouches, around and across the pouch straps.
no one can see it when you wearing the kit, just taape em to the belt nice and tight, not a "realistic" method, but none of my gear moves along my belt
