I'm sure I've seen some references to people modifying standard K98 pouches to take VSR magazines. From looking at some pouches, the only way I can see to do it would be to cut the dividing wall between two of the pouches and then slot the mags in crossways across two pouches. Is that all there is to it? I was a bit concerned it might destroy the structural integrity of the pouches.

Thanks
Martin

I have done something similar for Tanaka mags. By joining two pouches together you can fit 2 mags in, one on top of the other. Externally you dont notice they have been joined unless you look close up.

By the way dont just cut out the dividing walls, unpick the stiches and fold one flap inside the other pouch for extra strength and so as not to leave an open gap between the pouches. You can glue these in place or sew (but you will need a strong needle, there tough) Do the same on the lid flaps for extra strength.-- attachment is not available ---- attachment is not available ---- attachment is not available --

That is brilliant, thanks. I think it was your original post I was thinking of.

Cheers
Martin
