At my local site, a wannabe (over 30) geardo called me a 'jessie' - see a Scots dictionary - for dropping like a sack of spuds when taking a hit. When I explained I was play-acting the hit, he just scoffed. When I play, in any loadout, part of my suspension of disbelief is taking the hit like I've actually been shot, and I'll roll around holding any part of my anatomy that has been hit. Apparently, the done this is to stop dead and put your hands up. All I know is, if someone fell like I'd shot them with an actual 30-06 Garand, I'd feel a lot more satisfied with the kill, and the realism for me would only be bolstered.

Some open day types are real tossers - this guy genuinely had contempt for me, partly, I suspect, down to my WW2 loadout not being in keeping with the molle falvour of the day.

Ah well, there you go if you look carefully its been modded to be an aksu

i wleded on a real steell stock and resculpted the body to have aksu rather than '47 indentations.

Done years before you could buy airsoft aksu's

At that point its a workin progress, the ris rail needed grinding off or the front grip replacing, only 74 mags were available at the time were Star 50 round ones to so i used to stick in 47 ones to game.

:)

As said earlier in the thread mate.

Its a copy of french magazine called 'militaria'

issue 203 (circa june 2002)

Very good source mag, more useful if you can read French or are able to track down the old UK editions.

Well i was joking but not all schools stil teach it, they only have to do *a* modern foreign language and a lot opt for Spanish.

I'm lucky in that my French and German is good enough to be able to read most magazine type stuff given enough time.

Its getting to the point where i can recognize key phrases in Russian too.
