Does anyone know where you can obtain reproduction 1 litre water bottles as used by the Gebirgsjäger and Sanitäter, Hikki seem to do the straps and cover but not the actual canteen ?

About all you can do is trawl ebay or other vendors. I managed to find one, but took a while.

Thanks but I'm really after a "new" reproduction one that I can use, I already have an original but like my other original water canteen, no matter how much I clean or sterilise them, the water from them still tastes like its from a dank muddy pond
