From what I've read, you'd only get that cuff title on jackets with 46" or greater waist measurements...

Soz for being a stitch nazi! ;)

.....implying....?? yeah i go on there often there is quite a lot of useful information tucked away on his site ..... I havent actually bought anything there yet always found it cheaper in the UK but I find it quite an amusing read, although bordering on the offensive at times... amusing nonetheless

Sorry Neil crossed wires

I was replying to lewis about custom titles

I sent lewis a list of website that would help him learn about german kit, at the fornt being the one i said was good for getting across the idea that theor is a lot of variation in shades, cut, insignia etc in the saem items.

wasnt a go at you :)

I had a look they only have the basic cuff titles just written in differnt fonts. It would say strafbar or strafregiment.

In general penal units didnt wear insignia, they were stripped of it and all national insignia.

If you believe sven hassel some penal units had red patches sewn on their tunics to denote them being a penal unit.

the only penal unit of any real reknown i can think of was in the DAK.

999 leichte afrika were a penal unit.

Most got used for cannon fodder and bomb disposal tasks from what i can recall.. . they definaltey didnt let em anywhere near tanks :)
