Apologies if this has been mentioned before, but I just happened across this item on fleabay. Never knew a replica was available, nearly £40 seems a lot but the originals seem to fetch silly money sometimes. 8)

I guess you could actually use this one. I've never been tempted to drink anything from mine. Always carry my waterbottle in the gas mask cannister.

I used to do the same, but after a soak with some Steredent tablets, it's fine to drink from. :)

Shocking copy.
it looks like the cover is a size too big. It is patterned after the 1 litre Gebirgs/medic flask.
The listing says it is 'iron' should be aluminium of course.
Nice that they will never be confused with the real thing.
i have a number of originals and I've drunk from many of them, Milton [?] fluid once or twice a season is all they get.
I'd rather drink from 70 year aluminium than iron any day.
