Now i know this sounds pretty straight forward, but there is a twist, I'm Mixed-Race. Hitler considered people of mixed ethnic backgrounds Untermenten (sub human).
So for a while now i've been pondering weather or not to do a German loadout, and came to the conclusion that i would only do a standard Heer Rifleman based on what the WW2 Airsoft community thought as i'm really not sure and don't want to go ahead, spend loads of cash on a loadout and have some one tell me that i look like a twat... sooooo whad'ya think?
Mate, to be honest your reading too much into it. I mean there are people from all ethnic bacgrounds, a few females, fat lads like me, and even some gingers 
so do a loadout that your happy with. And if anyone says that your ot right point them to the fundamental issue of not being a cock.
There were actually some black and mixed race people in the German Army, so even on a historical basis you are OK. But even so anyone is free to do whatever impression they want too. Besides I find that once where all in uniform its the uniform that you recognise not the skin colour 
you play what you want mate, the reason all our grandparents fought the war was so that we all had the freedom to make our own choices regardless of race, colour, religion or creed and you get to use a K98 or MP40 ....even better an MG34 or 42...so cool.

i have not met a single person on this forum or in ww2 airsoft who will give 2pence what race or races you are ,in any case if you live here you'r probably british on you'r passport like most of us and over half of us have german loadout's so the same inhibition's apply.just do what you want and enjoy yourself .

Just to echo the comments above, this a non issue, go with whatever impression you want. If we picked our impressions based on physical characteristics, most of us would only be doing Home Guard!

thanks everyone, ive been doing Nazi Germany in history for the past 6 months now so that probaly did cause me to over think it quite a bit and @ prideofengland i have heard that there was black infantry regiments in the heer, i just wasn't sure about it.
but ive decided i will get a jerry loadout together probaly next year (and i might have a crack at an MG34 when i get my afra sorted 
)
i just wanted to know the general opinion of the community before i went and spent all that that money.
If you want to try German do a gunman game and use some of the loan kit Josh has, you can give it a try and see how you like it before buying any kit, playing the game fairly and with honesty is all the guys mainly care about not skin colour, gender or nationality.

late reply but ive never seen or heard anyone comment on who can or cant do german.
The people ive met at games have been very friendly and totally blind to any kind of color issue.
Ranj had a cracking picture of him on here a while back in his RAF outfit complete with turban and beard, and marsha has been doing german/american for years.
Just do what you want to mate, and enjoy it, you will love it.
god forbid it ever happened, but if anyone was to comment in a negative way on a players color/race/religion im %100 sure they would be asked to leave the event.(well they would certainly be turfed out of any event i ran)
the only arguements ive ever seen have been on gameplay/egos/uniform/whos in charge, and other handbag throwing incidents.

thanks everyone, i really appreciate all your kind comments and have decided to go ahead and do a german loadout, and im starting it off with a helmet for christmas (hopefully) and i will soon follow that with an m36 uniform
