I have read that it was generally accepted that the Scharfschutze award/badge wasn't worn on combat uniforms ,but as there is a regulation on where to put it , this was mainly from a personal survival point of view .
Would I be right in saying that wearing it on virtually any uniform would therefore be correct as summary execution ain't quite the problem in airsoft as it was in 1944 ?

"worn on the right cuff, above all other insignia" - (Davis)

"The badge was to be worn on the lower right sleeve of the tunic above the cuffs" - www.wehrmachtawards.com

Can't find any pics of it being worn, though.

You've got nothing to ein, zwei, drei, vier

Not worn on the greatcoat, but on all other tunics.

Thanks Andy,I found 2 references that said "right arm ,above all other insignia" but weren't specific as to upper or lower, but I have found numerous references to lower right arm either alongside or above all other insignia.I found one photo that may have been the badge but it wasn't clear enough to be sure.Interestingly though I found a reference that stated that a soldier who had served with the Gebirgjagers was entitled to continue wearing the insignia on cap or jacket even if transferred to another division or unit.
