LMAO yes gadge,

craig lowe was a gun nut like me, a good guy, i think he got out b4 me, we were in the same troop in northern ireland in 1991, but in different squadrons whilst in england.

jaggsy was the uglyist man in nato without a doubt, he wont remember me, i was a "new guy" when he was in the regiment, ( I was in c squdron in hildesheim in 1991 i think hes was in the same, but i was a new guy,)
,then he dissappered for a while, , he was always in a different squadron from me, BUT he was that UGLY no one wouldnt know his name LOL

the village had an armed askari, (a local copper, whos uniform was a blue hat, an a G3 rifle with 10 rounds only) i had to "pay" him 20 cigs a night to patrol round my hut, and "abandon" the rest of the village. he agreed.

When we were on the blank ranges we had a group of them provide us security. Most of them had G3s but one old man had an Enfield No4. Both the body and bolt were stamped 1942, it was still in perfect working condition. I wanted to buy it!!! He would have sold it to me too, but I had no way of bringing it home. :(

the MFO box was the "way in" for "people i knew" in the 1st gulf war.

just send your MFO box with anything small inside on the very top of the pile unhidden, (they never checked)
if it was found ,just deny it till the day you die, and claim "i would have hidden it, not left it on the bloody top, its someone else"

another "way in" was in the tanks, fuel tanks, some guys got AKs in this way, strip em down, put em in the fuel bladders, then retrive them back in the uk/germany

and i know a makarov was "got in" just by leaving it under the turret floor plate!

gents, ive started a thread in "off topic" for forces stories, these will get lost eventually so i'd thought we could centralise them and have a laugh.
