Have a look at this troops, this is from our German comrades "Historical Airsoft" from Berlin, if we could put something like this together, I'd be more than up for it. They've used the sound track for the artillery ect from the movie "Downfall" its mint, let me know your thoughts folks. Need volunteers from Axis forces to do something similar in a built up area, we've got a few good hands on the pyro front, so plenty of pyro, and a few Russians for an eastern front flavour, so we'll be looking for a prime ruined building location for this one, any ideas, comments? Lets have them.

I'd be very interested in doing this, although I think it might take a while to set up. :D

I'd be interested as well. I'd be happy to be the enemy once I get my rusky kit sorted or German (FJ or possibly Heer by the time things were underway) if you need me. I also have a few ideas on scenarios too, although I guess the plot would have have to be set around a suitable location rather than the other way around.

Myself, Frontschwein, and Micheal Brown are up for this, I think Quag would be if I asked, I know Herr Major Keller is, so that's about eight so far. We could use the location we used for the recent KG SS photoshoot and come away with a convincing looking film about a patrol doing house clearing/snipers or taking out arty observers or something. Might have to open this up top the US guys, but they'd have to look very convincing.

Agreed - although I think most of us 'hardcore' US look the part, though. I suggest a way around having Divisional er, divisions, is that we do it in the pissing rain wearing great coats.

Also, I'm going to assume you'll be doing the German side from an SS perspective..?

One unit represented per side would be nice, if the yanks could put together a section of say paras or rangers or standard infantry rather than a mix, I'm sure we could get enough SS, even if we have to loan out a few smocks and helmet covers to some of our Wehrmacht guys. Nelz and Reich stuff both have motorcylce combos, we could write that in somehow, I'm sure if we asked nicely they'd bring one of them along, not sure if oddball still has his jeep, which could be used as well.

Sounds great. Only real problem is the 'uniformity' of the allied player; some have mustards, some have HBTs and nearly are differently badged. If it was going to be a stumbling block, I'm happy to come as a fritz, even if it means going WSS (would need to borrow smock etc.).

Making it US vs SS means I can't help, unless like Kavster I can borrow some kit or I help out some other way. Either way I'm still willing to help.

We'll loan you some SS kit, don't worry, there's four sets of spare gear that we use for recruits.

OK had a think about this and took some advice on how to go about it. It would seem for the sake of keeping the script simple, we would have to use only one unit, with mabe a Russian sniper or two, no more. There would have to be a charge for hiring a professional cameraman around £10/head, a pyro budget and a site hire budget. So, before all we get too excited about this, everyone would be coughing up £20 minimum.
That having been said, its no more than a days gaming fee. I'm looking into paying for the hire of Riddlehamhope, where we did the recent KG SS photoshoot, for an overnight stay and so we can set off some smoke and heavy artillery barrages, with plenty of soot and pot ash for effect, and we could probably have the use of a sandbagged trench system at an airsoft site here in the North East for free. The script would revolve around a cut off Waffen SS patrol, that slowly gets picked off by sniper fire, MG fire and a final artillery barrage. A sort of "Cross of Iron" type senario, if you know what I'm on about. We'd need a minimum of fifteen people to do this, so I'll ask the lads of KG SS to do it, but we also want as many as are interested to participate, we'll provide smocks and helmet covers, and complete loadouts if necessary, both Russian and Waffen SS. If this is going to happen, we need people to sign up for it and pay a deposit, just to guarantee that they'll turn up, as we need a definate budget.

Sounds cool. Mein zwei-Pfennigs-worth.... keep the dialogue to an absolute minimum, if any at all.

You've got nothing to ein, zwei, drei, vier

Doing a test film trailer with some 3rd year film students,...they are from my neck of the woods,..... so I might be looking for some budding SS film stars. The trailer is to be done in preparation of our Groups 30 min epic.... later in the year or next year, to include the Tiger, Halftrack and combo's.

Our Group members are geographically all over the shop,.. so for a test trailer, it's difficult to get together, we are busy preparing for this seasons event's,..... so if any of you Guy's may be interested,... travelling to Hull,... then you maybe able to help me out.

The Film crew are very good, and have access to all the quality, professional equipment they want,.... including all the post production, editing, digital effects and sound producing facilities.

They are very keen to impress as the work will be part of there portfolio. All the services these guys are offering, is totally Free !! So it would seem silly not to take advantage of this.

Anyway , just a thought,..... I am sure if you are interested, you will let me know.

Cheers Stubblehopper,...... I think because of the nature of film production, is slow going , we may have to make a good full day at it,.... even for just a 5 to 10 min film. The story board , all the relevant props etc,... will need to be fully prepared,.. at least a few weeks before the shoot.
The film crew have also mentioned they would prefer,... better weather,.. so we may be a couple of months away yet.
That will give us plenty of time to think of a suitable scenario,.... and sort all the details out.

Definately up for this one, we'll have to make sure everyone is looking the part for it, we had Anthony go through everyone's kit for the photoshoot, just to make sure things were OK, and I think it paid off.
