Unfortunately the far east aeg manufacturers really are not interested din the uk market.

Its a *tiny* proportion of sales.

the only way to guarantee a gun coming out as an aeg is to have it feature in a blockbuster film or computer game.

Has anyone actually tried to talk to the chinese?

If anything the dealings with Rangercamp and his newly modified denison smocks show that the Chinese do care about the UK market.

I dunno. Madbull and ICS actively court the market. Marui, well, they aint interested in ANYTHING outside of Japan.

John M - Marui *did* have an MP40 ready for release to complement the Thompson, but sales of the Thompson were far lower than they expected, so they canned the it (info from a Japanese friend)

This was mentioned over on the US WW2 airsoft forum, one chap was willing to take his custom models to the chinese manufacturers and let them reverse engineer them for a few copies in return but no one seems to have any contact details for them 8)

A friend of a friend has already been to one of the chineses factories. According to him they have a good sized room that is wall to wall deacs ready for moulding up.

bollogs.

Has he got any contact details for the factory?
Deacts are only useful for external measurements, its how to get the airsoft parts mounted inside thats the hard bit. As the chinese only seem interested in cloning existing airsoft guns I can`t see why they would have deacts in their factories. 8)

Many of the UK retailers have a nice list of Chinese manufacturers. I had an old copy but buggered if I know where I placed it. Warren probably has details but Im betting hes a little retisant about releasing details due to it being a business contact (so part of his livelyhood and he probably doesnt want that relationship soured by people pestering his contact).

Your best bet is to ask your retailer to pass on your ideas/suggestions/requests. At the end of the day tho they'll do what makes economic sense to them so be patient. There are FAR more WWII style weapons now than when I started 4 years ago (and easier to get hold of too) so its bound to keep on getting better.

No longer involved in airsoft.

A cheapsoft MP44 would be nice, if the Chineese read these forums they could get ideas that would make themselves loads of money
